The theory test is made up of two parts; the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part.
You will use a touch screen computer for the theory test and will have to answer
50 multiple choice question, and identify 15 hazards from 14 video clips. Regardless
of how much experience you have, it’s definitely worth practicing for your theory
test. There are numerous resources available to help you prepare. I personally recommend
Driving Test Success -
Only when you have passed the theory test you can then apply to take your practical
driving test -
Theory test packs are expensive brand new, and you only get one set of hazard perception clips. You can get two or three 2nd hand packs for the same price on eBay!
